Get Involved


There are many ways you can help. Here is our list of suggestions. You can help with one or more or come up with other ideas to start your own campaign. We are open to new ideas, so please e-mail us your suggestion and we'll add it to the list.

  1. ,
    , and spread the word about the project on social media; share your experience and stories of success.
  2. Host a Palestine on a Plate Party party in your home or office. At the party, sell or take orders for the cookbook (download the US order form or Canada order form). And be sure to send us photos!
  3. Contact your church, mosque, synagogue, school, library, or any other center you are affiliated with; tell them about the project; and encourage their involvement in the campaign and sales of the Palestine on a Plate cookbook. We can give you flyers or postcards to give out. Just get in touch!
  4. Organize a benefit concert or event in your area. Tell the audience about the plight of the Palestinian people, the suffering of children living under occupation, and how Israeli violence is destroying their childhood; tell them about the Palestine on a Plate project, distribute flyers, and sell copies of the cookbook.
  5. Encourage your local cookware store, food store, farmers' market, or supermarket to carry and sell the Palestine on a Plate cookbook and host a Palestine on a Plate event.
  6. Contact local media outlets (radio, TV, print media, bloggers), tell them about the cookbook project and how it is intended to raise funds to help PHF get Palestinian kids off the streets; ask them to write stories about it and give readers information on how to get involved or purchase copies of the Palestine on a Plate cookbook.
  7. Pledge to sell a certain number of copies of Palestine on a Plate (10, 25, 50, 100 copies or more) to co-workers, friends, family, and people in your community. Also ask family and friends to recommend Palestine on a Plate to others as a perfect holiday gift (download the US order form or Canada order form).
  8. Contact corporations and local businesses and suggest that they purchase copies of Palestine on a Plate in bulk to give to clients as year-end holiday gifts.
